Travelling to Sheffield...
By Train

Sheffield is just 2 hours from London and 3 hours 30 minutes from Edinburgh.

​

The mainline station in Sheffield offers an impressive entry to the city, with fast direct links from London St Pancras International departing every 30 minutes from early morning to late at night.

​

If you are travelling from London, or on routes operated by East Midlands Railway, you'll find all the timetable and fare information you need on the East Midlands Railway website.

​

If you're travelling to Sheffield for a conference you might also find our special event tickets a value for money option.

​

There are also hourly fast trains from Manchester City Centre which connect to/from Manchester International airport.

By Car

Sheffield is fantastically well connected for delegates travelling by car. Exit the M1 at Junction 33 and take the "Sheffield A630" exit and follow signs to Sheffield City Centre.

Parking

Sheffield City Council operates several surface level car parks and on street parking – parking charges and maximum parking times vary – details can be found here.  Privately operated multi storey and surface level car parking is also available across the city centre to give motorists lots of choice.   Details (including up to date availability) can be found at en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/Sheffield/.  If you are driving into Sheffield for a conference or event, please check with your hotel or venue for any special offers.

By Air

With 3 international airports within less than an hour's drive, Sheffield is easy to reach from overseas destinations.  
 

Manchester Airport, one of the UK's busiest airports. There is no longer a direct rail service from Manchester Aorport and you will need to change at Manchester Piccadilly to travel to Sheffield.

  

Leeds Bradford Airport is also well served by European and long haul destinations. Sheffield can be reached by using a taxi service or bus to Leeds and then train to Sheffield.

Nottingham East Midlands receives routes from European and long haul destinations. Sheffield can be reached by road using a taxi service, or take the airport shuttle to East Midlands Parkway and take the train (operated by East Midlands Trains) to the centre of Sheffield.

By Tram

The University of Sheffield stop is the nearest tram stop to the Diamond venue. From Meadowhall this is the 'yellow line' and from Halfway this is the 'blue line'.
